A roll of 1 represents a perfect success, while 20 means failure, flipping the usual expectation and making every roll feel tense and meaningful. This creates a smooth learning curve for new players, while still offering plenty of depth for veterans who want to master probabilities and risk.
But where Chronopia truly shines is in its alternative activation system. Instead of waiting through long turns while your opponent moves their entire force, players take turns activating units one by one. This keeps both sides constantly engaged and opens the door for real tactical play—reacting, countering, and outmanoeuvring your opponent in real time. Smart positioning, timing, and decision-making become just as important as raw strength, making every move on the battlefield count.
